Last updated Mar. 9: TRAILS ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. The Pembina Valley SnowKickers thank everyone for their support and look forward to seeing you next year. Mar. 3rd: Manitou to Darlingford, North trail to Mordon ending just south of Mordon. Mar. 2: Start at Somerset, Notre Dame Loop, Rathwell and back, St. Leon, ending at Manitou. Groomer is down for repairs. Mar. 1st: Pilot Mound North, to the Creamery Bridge and back, to Swan Lake Lake, to the river and back, to Bruxelles and back, to Swan Lake, ending at Somerset. Feb. 25: Notre Dame to Somerset, to Swan Lake, to Bruxelles and back, to the river and back, over Swan Lake, to Pilot Mound, to the Rock Lake Loop, back to Pilot Mound. Feb. 24: Manitou, to St. Leon, to Altamont, to Notre Dame, to Rathwell and back, ending at Notre Dame. Feb. 23: Pilot Mound to LaRiviere, to Manitou, to Darlingford, South trail and back, to Mordon via North Trail, to Maida via South trail, to Pembina Crossing, ending at Manitou Feb. 22: Maida to LaRiviere to Pilot Mound Feb. 18: Morden loop ending by Maida Feb. 17: Notre Dame to Rathwell and back, to Somerset, to St. Leon, to Manitou, and ending in Darlingford. Feb. 16: Pilot Mound to McKay’s cabin, over Swan Lake to the river and back, to Bruxelles and back, to Swan Lake, to Somerset, to Altamont, ending at Notre Dame. Feb 15: From Pilot Mound it did the Rock Lake Loop, to Mariapolis, over Swan Lake to McKay’s cabin and back to Pilot Mound. Feb. 12: Mordon to Maida by the south trail to LaRiviere by the south trail to Pilot Mound Feb. 11: St Leon to Manitou to LaRiviere via north trail, to the river north of LaRiviere back to LaRiviere, to Pembina Crossing via south trail, to Manitou to Darlingford via North trail, south of Darlingford to Maida trail, back to Darlingford then to Morden via north trail. Feb. 10, 2010: Rock Lake loop to Mariapolis, over Swan Lake to River and back, to Bruxelles and back, to Swan Lake to Somerset. Feb. 1, 2010: Swan Lake, to the Valley, to the River and back, over Swan Lake, to McKay's, ending at Pilot Mound. Jan. 30: Groomer is in for repairs at Notre Dame. Caution is advised as the drag is on the trail between Notre Dame and Rathwell. Jan. 29, 2010: Maida to La Riviere to St. Leon to Notre Dame. Jan 27/'10 - Darlingford to Morden via north trail, Morden to Maida via south trail, groomer breakdown enroute Jan 28/'10 - Groomer repaired, continuing on as repairs allow Jan. 26, 2010 - groomed from Pilot Mount to La Riviere, to the River and back, to Manitou, to Pembina Crossing and back, to Darlingford, to south trail and back. Jan 21, 2010 Jan 16th - Manitou to LaRiviere - groomer breakdown en route Jan 19th - LaRiviere north to the river and return, then to Pilot Mound for further repairs Note: Present conditions are hard and icy, with frequent bare spots due to melting temps. We are hoping for more snow soon to resume grooming JAN 15, 2010 Note: Trail from Manitou south to Pembina Valley is now open. Issue resolved. 1/14/'10 - Notre Dame to Rathwell and return. Notre Dame to St. Leon and Manitou. 1/15/'10 - Manitou south to Pembina Valley, to LaRiviere via south trail, and return to Manitou via north trail. Manitou to Darlingford, south to Pembina Valley and return. Darlingford to Morden via north trail and Morden to Maida via south trail, ending in Manitou. JAN 14, 2010 Note: All PVSK trails are open, except for Manitou south to Pembina Valley where a landowner concern exits. We are hoping to resolve it soon. Recent melting temperatures have hampered grooming efforts plus mechanical challenges are occurring as well. We ask for rider’s patience as we work through our issues. Jan 7/’10 - Maida to Manitou and LaRiviere via south trail, ending in Pilot Mound Jan 8/’10 – Groomer repairs Jan 9/’10 – Pilot Mound to Rock Lake loop and return Jan 11/’10 – Groomer repairs Jan 12/’10 – Pilot Mound to Swan Lake (town) Jan 13/’10 – Swan Lake (town) to Notre Dame Jan 7, 2010 Note: Signing crews are out, not all trails open. Please use caution as we are grooming only during daylight hours to start, and signing crews will be out on trails. All trails west and north of Manitou are signed, groomed and open. Swan Lake (lake) has not yet been groomed due to insufficient ice but is signed. All trails east and south of Manitou are in progress and remain closed until completed. Scrubbing operations on on-going in the Pembina Valley south of Manitou to LaRiviere. and trails there are not yet groomed. Please be careful and watch for equipment and workers on trail. Dec 31 - Manitou to St. Leon, Notre Dame, Rathwell and ending in Somerset. Trail Open. Jan 1 - Somerset to Swan Lake (town), Bruxelles and return to Swan Lake (town). Trail Open. Jan 2 - Swan Lake (town) to Pilot Mound. Trail Open. Jan 3 - Pilot Mound to Rock Lake loop and return to Pilot Mound. Trail open Jan 4 - Pilot Mound to LaRiviere and Manitou. Trail Open. - Manitou to Darlingford via North Trail. Trail Remains Closed. Jan 5 - Darlingford south to Pembina Valley and return. Trail Remains Closed. - Darlingford to Morden via North Trail. Trail Remains Closed. Jan 6 - Morden south to Pembina Valley to Maida. Trail Remains Closed. January 4/2010 Grooming has commenced although a break down has occurred. Dec 28th – Pilot Mound to LaRiviere Dec 29th – LaRiviere to Manitou (breakdown occurred en route) Dec 30th – groomer repairs Caution is urged as crews will be out signing and the groomer will be operating during daylight hours. All Other Trails Remain Closed Dec 28/2009 Grooming has started and signing will be ongoing over the next week. Trails are still closed until all grooming and signing is complete. |
